How to pay for a digital marketing bootcamp in California
Tuition does not always come out of your own pocket. A few funding routes are worth checking before you enroll:
- Workforce grants (WIOA). Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act money is administered in California by the Employment Development Department (EDD) through local boards and America’s Job Center of California. The UC San Diego and UC Irvine programs are already WIOA-approved; if you meet the criteria, a board can cover tuition. Confirm eligibility before enrolling.
- Employer sponsorship. Many California employers, especially in tech, reimburse tuition or sponsor upskilling.
- Payment plans and ISAs. The national providers offer installment plans, and some offer income-share agreements so you pay after landing a job.
- Scholarships. Several programs run need-based or diversity scholarships that lower the sticker price.
